A couple of weeks ago we celebrated Hayden’s 2nd birthday with a construction truck themed party! Trucks are Hayden’s favorite thing right now. We have a truck obsessed toddler on our hands right now, so it was the perfect way to celebrate.
January birthdays in Texas are hard. You never know if it will be freezing and iced over or if it will be 70 degrees and sunny. This year, we decided to take the risk and have Hayden’s birthday party outside at a nearby park. There was a playscape for littles to run around and we brought an inflatable pool filled with sand and trucks.
We used Modish Matters, an Austin based company, to help with the backdrop, balloons, and other decor again this year. It was a hit!
Small details that made the day extra special included his construction themed cake with small trucks and “dirt”, construction themed snacks, a large sign with facts about Hayden, and a toddler table for his friends.
The toddler table was lined with a large truck coloring sheet that took up most of the table, there were little buckets of crayons so that friends could color while they were seated, each seat at the toddler table had a kid sized construction vest and a construction hat with their name on it. This was their party favor to take home!
